Biography

Mr. Fishkind represents debtors, creditors, and other parties-in-interest in complex litigation arising out of corporate restructurings, contested matters, adversary proceedings, trials, and appeals.

Peter Fishkind is an experienced litigator who has successfully represented clients in state and federal courts across the country. In addition to bankruptcy matters, he has worked on complex commercial and securities cases for individual, municipal, and corporate clients. His clients have spanned the financial services, private equity, media, technology, retail, and manufacturing sectors.

Peter has served as the lead associate on high-profile matters, drafting dispositive motions and guiding cases through complex discovery disputes. He has helped clients secure victories at preliminary injunction, summary judgment, and trial stages, as well as reach favorable settlements.

Best Lawyers recognized Peter as Ones to Watch® in Commercial Litigation and Securities Litigation for 2025 and 2026. The Legal Aid Society awarded him the Pro Bono Publico Award in 2021. Peter earned his B.A., summa cum laude, in History with a minor in Political Science from The George Washington University in 2014. He received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2017 and served as President of Penn Law’s Council of Student Representatives during his 3L year.

Before joining the firm, Peter practiced as a litigation associate at an international law firm in New York.
