Biography

Christian Ribeiro represents debtors, creditors, trustees and other parties in interest in corporate restructurings both in and out of court, and in related litigation.

Christian’s practice focuses on debtor and creditor representations in complex corporate restructuring matters, chapter 11 cases, and related litigation. Christian has been a member of teams representing debtors in numerous high-profile chapter 11 cases including: Genesis Global Holdco, LLC, Grupo Posadas, S.A.B. de C.V., and LATAM Airlines Group, S.A. Christian has also represented creditors, trustees, and other parties in interest in connection with chapter 11 cases (including post-confirmation matters) and chapter 7 cases.

Representative Cases

  • Genesis Global Holdco, LLC: Counsel to the debtors, in connection with their chapter 11 reorganization and contested, but ultimately successful chapter 11 plan, which provided for in-kind distributions to digital asset creditors.*
  • LATAM Airlines Group: Counsel to the debtors, Latin America’s leading airline group, in their Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases involving the restructuring of more than $7.5 billion in debt.*
  • Grupo Posadas: Counsel to the debtors, the largest hotel operator in Mexico, in connection with its successful prepackaged chapter 11 plan restructuring more than $390 million in senior notes and leaving all remaining creditors unimpaired.*
