Mr. Ortiz has broad international case experience, including serving as debtor’s counsel to LATAM Airlines, Toshiba Nuclear Energy Holdings (UK) Limited (Westinghouse), Pacific Drilling, Toisa Limited, and others, and is a frequent lecturer and writer on cross-border issues. According to III press release, Mr. Ortiz and the other inductees, insolvency academics and practitioners from across globe, “represent the best of the future experts in international insolvency.”
Relatedly, Mr. Ortiz was also recently named as the co-chair of the American Bankruptcy Institute’s International Committee
