Togut Firm Partner Kyle Ortiz will be speaking at the upcoming Asset Recovery Americas Conference event on Thursday, December 1, 2022, on a panel titled “Regulators, SIPC trustees, and Crashing Cryptocurrencies.”  Mr. Ortiz will be joined on the panel by Sean Anderson of Mintz Group (Mexico), Natalie E. Levine of Cassels (Canada), and Christopher Farmer of Teneo (BVI).  The panel will discuss how bankruptcy legislation and regulation will apply in a time of unprecedented uncertainty with regard to the cryptocurrency market.  Mr. Ortiz has experience within the intersection of cryptocurrency and insolvency law;  among other things, the Togut Firm represents an Ad Hoc Group of Custodial Account Holders in the ongoing Celsius chapter 11 cases.  Mr. Ortiz is also a frequent lecturer on cross-border and cryptocurrency matters in the context of bankruptcy law.
