Azul Airlines is Brazil’s largest airline by number of departures and cities served, with over 16,000 employees. Davis Polk & Wardell is serving as lead counsel to the debtors.
The Azul debtors commenced their bankruptcy cases on May 28, 2025 and on July 16, 2025, the Bankruptcy Court entered an order authorizing the retention of the Togut Firm as co-counsel to the debtors. The debtors’ bankruptcy cases are jointly administered under case no. 25-11176 before honorable Judge Sean H. Lane. More information about the case can be found here.
