Togut Segal & Segal LLP is pleased to announce the promotions of Brian F. Moore to Partner and to Counsel, both effective January 1, 2026.
Mr. Moore was previously Senior Counsel at the Togut Firm. Brian joined the Firm in 2007 and has since provided immense value and leadership to the Firm. For over 20 years, Mr. Moore has represented debtors, creditors, and parties-in-interest in all aspects of sophisticated business reorganizations and restructurings, from the preparation and filing of chapter 11 petitions, first day motions and orders through the negotiation and confirmation of chapter 11 plans of reorganization. Brian received his B.A. from Rutgers and his J.D. from Rutgers Law School, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Rutgers Law Review. A thought leader, his articles have appeared in The Intellectual Property & Technology Journal, The Bankruptcy Strategist, and Pratt’s Journal of Bankruptcy Law. Brian has been named a New York Super Lawyer since 2016.
Ms. Martir was previously a Senior Associate at the Togut Firm and joined the Firm in 2024. Ms. Martir was named to the 2023, 2024, and 2025 Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch list for her work in the category of Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights / Insolvency and Reorganization Law. Ms. Martir is a seasoned attorney with experience representing debtors, creditors, equity holders, and other parties in interest both in-court and out-of-court transactions and restructurings. She received her B.A. from Princeton University and J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she served as Technical Editor of the Harvard Journal on Legislation. Prior to beginning her legal career, Ms. Martir served as an active-duty officer in the U.S. Army.
