Togut Segal & Segal LLP is pleased to announce that Bryan M. Kotliar will be elevated to partner effective January 1, 2023. After his early years at Jones Day and Skadden, Bryan joined the Togut Firm in 2020 and has provided exceptional representation for a wide range of parties, including debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, equity holders, foreign representatives, asset purchasers, investors, and others in connection with in- and out-of-court restructurings and other distressed situations. Bryan also has substantial experience in high-stakes litigation in some of the largest and most complex chapter 11 cases of the past decade. Most recently, Bryan led the consensual restructuring of dozens of aircraft and engines and related contracts and leases in LATAM Airlines, as well as litigation involving disputed claim settlements and key aspects of the chapter 11 plan.
Bryan is an active member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and a frequent author on bankruptcy and insolvency related issues.
Unlike at some firms, becoming a partner in the Togut Firm is not merely a matter of time spent or hours worked but requires extraordinary talent that Bryan has repeatedly demonstrated. He has achieved the level of practice of the Firm’s other partners and we welcome him to that status.
The Togut Firm congratulates Bryan on his well-deserved promotion!
